Bio
Anton Shcherbakov, Psy.D, BCBA, is a licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA). He is the founder of ClearStep Therapy, an evidence-based practice that specializes in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety, autism, OCD, and related conditions. Dr. Shcherbakov is also the co-founder of ThinkPsych, an innovative toy company that creates social emotional learning games and products to help kids feel & live better.
Dr. Shcherbakov received his doctorate from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) in 2016. He went on to complete his postdoctoral training at the Center for Emotional Health of Greater Philadelphia (CEH) in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, skin-picking (excoriation) disorder, trichotillomania, and tic disorders. Prior to CEH, Dr. Shcherbakov worked and trained in settings that included schools, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric units. He completed his predoctoral internship at the New Jersey VA Health Care System and received extensive training in the evidence-based treatment of geriatric populations, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders.
Dr. Shcherbakov has attended and presented at local and national conferences on topics that include OCD treatment, neurodiversity, and increasing happiness for individuals with developmental disabilities. He has also served as a research clinician on a randomized controlled trial investigating Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for preventing suicidal behavior in military veterans. He is a co-author on several publications resulting from this research.
